How does dual wield work in Age of Conan?
A long time ago we made the decision to make dual wielding a weapon set and include it in all animations in the AOC Gold game. The left attacks in the AOC Gold game use only the left handed weapon, the right only the right handed weapon, the middle uses both, and all the combos use both in the AOC Gold game. The damage calculations are then taken into account.

Make sure you do not have Conan running in the background in the AOC Gold game. In order to do this you can look in your Windows Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete. Click on the Process tab and end any processes named AgeofConan.exe or ConanPatcher.exe. |
If the Patcher keeps wanting to download the same small patch over and over again, you can fix this by opening up your Windows Task Manager and killing the AgeofConan.exe or ConanPatcher.exe process. Also you can fix it by restarting your computer and then running the ConanPatcher.exe again. |
When you load into the Age of Conan Gold game or change areas, you may still have to wait a second or two for everything to fully load in in the AOC Gold game. Whenever you start in an area, that area is fully loading into your client and even though you may be able to target something and not see it, it doesn't mean anything bad is going on. If you give it a moment, everything will fully load in in the AOC Gold game. |

No, your Age of Conan Gold game characters are saved in our servers and not on your home machine. Therefore if you reinstall you will not lose any of your characters in the AOC Gold game or the items in the AOC Gold game they were carrying. |
There are several possible reasons for your lack of sound in the AOC Gold game. Make sure that you have sound enabled in the in-Age of Conan Gold game settings (found under F10). Once you have verified that your sound is enabled, you will want to make sure that you can hear sound from your desktop (out of Age of Conan Gold game). You can accomplish this by playing a music CD or possibly playing a sound file from your desktop. |
Some people are reporting that NPCs in the AOC Gold game do not have any voice overs or sound outside of Tortage in the AOC Gold game. This is not a problem with your Sound Card or your Audio settings. Most NPCs in the AOC Gold game outside of Tortage simply do not have a voice over recorded. We hope to add additional voice overs in the future in the AOC Gold game. |
